The Southern Prairie Railway did one of their final trips for the the season to Horizon Hall on Oct 8th.
The ride started at Ogema to the Horizon Hall where they served a PITCH FORK FONDUE meal of steak, potatoes, coleslaw and beans. There was entertainment by JD from Weyburn, who performed big band and Elvis style music.
On this trip there was a full car of folks from various places in Saskatchewan: Gravelbourg, MooseJaw, Saskatoon, Preeceville, Endeavor, Rockford, FT.Qu’appelle, Val Marie, Wood Mountain, Buffalo Pound Lake, Weyburn, Harptree, Caronport, as well as Drumheller & Calgary AB, and St. Anns, Ont.
We had a small wait while a minor repair was done on our way back but allowed more visit time with the staff. The TOUR TRAIN has been a great opportunity for people to see the land by rail after all the years gone by. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR EFFORTS FOR US.
